Last week, a big bunch of very fun people gathered at Dublin's Morrison Hotel to officially launch our latest release, The Wedding Planner - Your Gorgeous Guide to Planning a Wedding in Ireland. The beautifully illustrated, bridal bible contains everything we know about planning a wedding and, after 14 years as Ireland's No.1 wedding magazine, that's quite a lot! A successful soft launch before Christmas saw the book being picked up by Eason, Tesco and a whole host of independent bookstores, nationwide - cause for celebration, we felt! (Pick yours up here!)

We visited Dublin's Morrison Hotel a few weeks ago and instantly knew it was the place for our big bash. The Printworks room is where the hotel hosts its cool city weddings and the light, airy space was the perfect canvas for what we had planned. Our guests entered via the Art Gallery on the riverfront - with its high ceilings and epic views, it was instantly impressive. Just outside the Printworks there's a pretty courtyard for that key outdoor element. It can be covered if the weather isn't on your side but, luckily for us, it was a glorious evening and party-goers meandered in and out enjoying the space.

We need to talk about the food for a moment - our second favourite thing to do, after eating it. We chose from a gorgeous selection of finger food and it went down a treat. Think lemon and lime prawn and chorizo skewers, fragrant arancini balls, beef sliders with smoked tomato and onion chutney and herb and cracked pepper sausage rolls...heaven!

Guests were also treated to their favourite tipple mixed with delicious Fever-Tree mixers. Gin and Fever-Tree elderflower tonic was our fave - yum!

When it came to decor, we didn't hold back! Miss Daisy Florist provided the prettiest flower wall in all the land and even customised it to match our theme. It was the perfect backdrop for the approximately four million selfies that took place that night. They rent out a selection of walls for weddings and events if you fancy getting your Kim K on, on your big day.

The room was also adorned with Miss Daisy's show-stopping cherry blossom trees, creating a wedding wonderland theme and adding some all-important drama and height our décor.

When it came to balloons and party décor, there was only one man for the job - Hippenings! The room was filled with giant tassel balloons, epic balloon hoops, emoji balloons, confetti-filled bubble balloons and a selection of fun party props for photo booth fun. Listen, we weren't aiming for subtle. Give them a shout here if you're after wedding décor, with a difference.

But this wasn't just any old party! We treated our guests to lots of fun and games. The gorgeous ladies from Chipped joined us with a pop-up nail bar to make sure everyone was party ready. How fab?! The slick salon in Dublin's Powerscourt Townhouse Centre is a place close to our hearts because of their awesome hen party offerings. Whether it's an after lunch affair as part of a day of fun, pre-drinks pampering before the big night ahead, your girl gang will be treated to fabulous manicures, a glass of Prosecco and a chill-out area to enjoy it in. Sounds like the dream to us, tbh! They can even stay open until 11pm! Check them out here.

Our guests had serious craic with Oh Wow's 360-degree rotating photo booth, complete with a wind machine and confetti machine. Oh wow, is right! You just stand up on the platform, pose like you've never posed before and feel like a complete rockstar as the magic happens around you. Then Adam and his team will email your video to you, so you can show off to all your pals on social media. So, SO, cool. And yes, they do weddings! Hurrah!

We were also joined by incredible illustrator, Linda Byrne who live drew our guests in all their finery, at lightning speed.  They made such a gorgeous keepsake of the night - guests could be seen clutching their treasured illustrations as they left the party. The best news? Linda can come to your wedding and illustrate your guests! She also created the CUTEST cutouts of couples on their wedding day. Pay her a visit here.

The lads from Wow provided music for the night and completely stole Team Confetti's thunder - they were very much the stars of the show. They perform four shows in one night, complete with gas on-stage costume changes and had our guests bopping away all night. They're fast becoming one of Ireland's most popular wedding bands, so book 'em quick!

A huge heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate! And a special thanks to the Morrison, Chipped, Wow, Linda Byrne, Oh Wow, Miss Daisy, Hippenings and Fever-Tree - our kinda party people.
