We're sure Irish Times journalist Conor Pope has looked into plenty of wedding issues in his consumer affairs correspondent role, but it was his own turn to say 'I do' this weekend. He tied the knot with Sonia Harris, who owns Harris PR, at Dublin Zoo, surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
The couple say the Zoo is a very special place for them, so there was no better place to celebrate their wedding ceremony with their family and friends.
The gorgeous bride wore a beautiful two-piece ensemble - she paired an incredible Oscar de la Renta inspired tulle skirt with a sheer, vintage beaded top and gold velvet Malone Soulier shoes. The pair made a stunning couple, with Conor looking slick in a custom made Louis Copeland suit.
Sonia walked down the aisle accompanied by her Dad, while her Mam and two eldest daughters, Molly and Juliette, made readers. The couple share a baby daughter Ruby together, who did her best to steal the limelight from her mam on the day, looking an absolute dote.
After their wedding ceremony at Dublin Zoo, the couple and their guests stuck around for a champagne reception with live music, before heading off to the couple's local village of Stoneybatter for the reception in L. Mulligan Grocer.
The couple opted for a 'feasting table' full of locally sourced Irish produce, finished off with a 'create your own' ice cream sundae station - popular with kids both little and big, we bet!
The pair met on a press trip that Sonia organised years ago, and have been planning to get married for a long time, but Sonia told Evoke.ie that she was taken by surprise when Conor did propose: "I didn’t think I was capable of being surprised but if there’s one person able to do that, it’s Conor. He thought of every minute detail and every second up to it was an incredible memory," she says.
We wish the happy couple the happiest forever together!
