28 September 2009Ant and Dick introduce themselves
Our new guest bloggers Ant and Dick introduce themselves and offer some words of wisdom for enjoying all the excitement of your big day.
Well hello there!
You may have seen us before when we were live on stage at the Bride of the Year show in the RDS Dublin in January. Or maybe you caught sight of us on Ireland AM in the run up to the RDS show for a week when we were making over lovely Brides and the Mothers of the Bride live on screen, as well as giving some great hints and tips from the sofa.
We are going to be here on a regular basis giving you hints and tips and keeping you up to date with what we are doing. We are based in Northern Ireland at the moment and try to get to the South as much as possible – which we did recently for the ‘Cinemagic Teen Style Awards’ where we were on the Panel of Judges. It was a great event and the film Coraline was certainly fun! Have you heard us on the radio? We host a show on Feile Fm, 103.2 fm, on Sundays from 3 – 5 pm and we can be heard all over the world via www.feilefm.com.
Our show is called ‘Love is Good with Ant and Dick’ and we play your requests, answer your love dilemmas, have a weekly give-away and generally have fun. Please try and have a listen, its quite a giggle and you could win something too! If you’re getting married, and I assume that if you have found our blog you just might be, then please use us as your virtual wedding planners. We will do our best to help you with any problems or requests for info as we just love helping brides-to-be. We know how to save the pennies too! We thought we would try and give you some thoughts from Ant and Dick as you embark on the planning of your big day. We know it’s hard, but try above everything else to enjoy everything about planning your special day.
The most important thing you have to think about is your partner and the fact that you are sharing a commitment to one another. Who cares if the roses are not quite the same colour you asked for, or that they sent a Bentley instead of a Rolls Royce… these things all melt away when you remember why you are getting married. Please please enjoy it, have a few glasses of bubbly, a boogie with the girls and a smoochy one with your new husband – that's what it’s all about really!
Love, Ant and Dick x x x x
